On July 3, 2008, eleven days before our first wedding anniversary, Frank was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  Our world came crashing down and the fear and devastation was overwhelming.  After having been in the fetal position for two weeks, we decided that Frank was going to live!

He was treated at a hospital in Boston that treats a high volume of pancreatic cancer patients.  He received two weeks of a chemotherapy pill, five days of proton beam radiation therapy, and six rounds of an intravenous chemotherapy drug.

We then decided to go to a health institute in the area to learn how to build his immune system back up and stayed on a raw food diet for almost six months.  We also found many other complementary medicine modalities, which included acupuncture and supplements. We just celebrated his 5th year completely cancer free and as of today, Frank is feeling better and healthier than he ever did in his life.  I wrote a book about our journey in order to bring help and hope to all that face this huge challenge.
