MINDY KALING OF “THE MINDY PROJECT” TO AUCTION OFF
THREE DESIGNER OUTFITS FROM THE SERIES IN SUPPORT OF
THE FIGHT AGAINST PANCREATIC CANCER

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA – (March 16, 2015) — Fashionistas rejoice! A designer outfit from each of the current season’s remaining episodes of THE MINDY PROJECT will be auctioned off on eBay, leading up to the Season Finale airing Tuesday, March 24 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

In memory of THE MINDY PROJECT’s creator and star Mindy Kaling’s mother, all proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, the national organization working to advance research, support patients and create hope for those affected by pancreatic cancer.

Now live on www.fox.com/mindyauction, the auction currently features one outfit from last week’s episode of THE MINDY PROJECT, and one from the episode airing tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT). Both outfits will be available on eBay until Thursday, March 19.  An outfit from the Season Finale airing Tuesday, March 24 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) will be available for auction March 24 through Thursday, March 26.

“We are thrilled to partner with Mindy and THE MINDY PROJECT team for this auction,” said Julie Fleshman, president and CEO of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. “Her voice helps raise the visibility of this devastating disease, and we are grateful for her continued support of our efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2020.”

“I’m so excited to be auctioning off outfits from THE MINDY PROJECT to benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network,” said Kaling. “It is an amazing organization that provides so much support for people with this devastating illness and their families.”

Pancreatic cancer is currently the fourth-leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States, and is anticipated to become the second by 2020.  It is one of the deadliest cancers, with a five-year survival rate that is just seven percent. In 2015, it is estimated that nearly 49,000 Americans will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and approximately 40,500 will die from the disease.
