You DO NOT need to make hotel reservations. Once you have registered, Kaley Millan at the National Office will make hotel reservations based on your registration form. You will receive an email one week prior to arrival containing your hotel reservation information and all details for the weekend. Hotel Check-In

Hotel check-in is at 3 p.m. Should you arrive early, the hotel will store your luggage and notify you when your room is ready. At that point, you will return to the front desk to properly check in, and then you can take your luggage to your room. After arriving, please visit us at check-in.

Hotel Check-Out

Hotel check‐out is noon on Sunday. The hotel can secure your luggage at the Bell Desk. If needed, please bring your luggage to the Bell Desk after you check out of the hotel Sunday morning.

Lodging Expenses

The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network will cover the cost of the hotel room ($229 per night) for three nights for all invited participants (based on a shared room with one other participant). If you room with another participant, you will NOT be required to pay for the three nights of hotel accommodations.

All participants who choose to room alone or with a non-Volunteer Leadership Summit invitee will be required to pay $114.50 per night plus tax (approximately 12.5% - subject to change) to cover the cost of the other half of the room. You must pay this portion to the hotel at the time of check-out.

If you are interested in extending your stay at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina and plan to arrive before Thursday, August 23, or depart after Sunday, August 26, please email Kaley Millan at to secure the $229 plus tax hotel rate. Please note that this special rate is only available beginning Monday, August 20 and ends on Monday, August 27, and is based on availability. You will be required to pay the hotel for the additional nights at the time of check-out.

All Volunteer Leadership Summit participants will be required to provide a credit card upon arrival for all room incidental charges. A hold may be placed on your card account for the full anticipated amount to be owed to the hotel, including estimated incidentals through your day of check-out and the hold may not be released for 72 hours from the date of check-out or longer at the discretion of your card issuer. If this is an issue, please contact your staff partner.

Internet access will be available for purchase in your room and will not be covered by PanCAN. There will be no internet service in the meeting rooms for personal use.
