Nov. 1 marks the official start of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month – a time to shine an even brighter spotlight on the world’s toughest cancer.

Our focus this year is “Demand Better. For Patients. For Survival.”

This month we’re highlighting the importance of knowing the risk factors and symptoms for pancreatic cancer and encouraging people to share their knowledge. The more people know about the risk factors and symptoms and the earlier people are diagnosed, the better chance for survival.

There are many ways you can do your part to Demand Better. You can take a pledge to Demand Better for pancreatic cancer during Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, contact your elected officials asking them to wear purple, learn about your pancreatic cancer risk, test your knowledge of the disease, share on social media and so much more.

Also, mark your calendar for World Pancreatic Cancer Day on Thursday, Nov. 16. People around the globe will be raising awareness for pancreatic cancer, and you can, too. Be sure to wear your purple!
