Pancreatic cancer scientists funded by PanCAN grants work in a lab to improve patient outcomes.

PanCAN’s research grants program is accepting applications for 2020 Translational Research Grants and Career Development Awards.

The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) is accepting applications for its 2020 Research Grants Program. Two types of grants are available.

2020 Translational Research Grant

The 2020 Translational Research Grant funds high priority pancreatic cancer research, which is poised for important translational next steps to help move scientific discovery to application in patients through a $500,000 award over two years.

To be eligible for a Translational Research Grant, the research project should aim to identify novel targets and approaches to the treatment of pancreatic cancer or understand and circumvent treatment resistance.

Applications are due Dec. 6, 2019.  Learn more and start your application.

2020 Career Development Award

The 2020 Career Development Award supports junior faculty to conduct pancreatic cancer research and establish a successful career path in the field through a $200,000 award over two years.

Proposed research may be basic, translational, clinical or epidemiological in nature and must have direct applicability and relevance to pancreatic cancer.

Applications are due Dec. 13, 2019. Learn more and start your application.

Mentorship, Networking and Community

In addition to receiving financial support for their research, grantees participate in PanCAN’s Community for Progress. This mentorship program connects grantees with leading scientists in the field. Ongoing career support activities offer opportunities for education and professional development to help keep the community of researchers committed and involved.
