In honor of National Grandparents Day today, take a look at this video of 10-year-old Logan Wood, who explains why he is involved in the cause. The video was taken at National Pancreatic Cancer Advocacy Day in Washington, D.C., which he attended with his mom, Michele, this past June.

Logan’s grandfather passed away of pancreatic cancer before he was born. The family’s loss has strengthened Logan’s resolve to do all he can to honor the memory of his “pépère” (“grandpa” in French). He’ll participate in PurpleStride Boston this November with his team, Logan’s Purple Pirates. This year marks the 10-year anniversary of his grandfather’s death.

Anyone can volunteer, fundraise and give back in their community. Get involved in your own way today!
