I was diagnosed with pancreatic adenocarcinoma in early 2015. I was given a few months to live. The news devastated me, as that was not enough time to get my ducks in a row. I underwent surgery (the Whipple) to remove the tumor from my pancreas. The surgery went well, but the cancer metastasized to my liver. We have been treating my cancer with chemotherapy, and it is keeping it in check. I am a three-year survivor, and plan on doing whatever I need to do to beat this disease.

My wife’s stepfather passed away this past year, and he also had cancer. We gave a donation in his name to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. We researched a lot of organizations, and we liked the direction PanCAN is headed. That is why we chose to donate, for the hope of curing this terrible disease.
