Carmen Tedford

White LilliesMy story is a happy story that will perhaps give someone newly diagnosed or fighting pancreatic cancer some hope. My diagnosis came in July 2010. Hastily, I was rushed to a successful Whipple procedure with clean margins.

While recovering in the hospital, my husband noticed a beautiful white lily in a garden where it was not planted. Every year in July another lily appears. This year there are eight beautiful lilies for my eight years cancer free. Thank you, Lord and the squirrels, for providing me hope each year.
