NIH GRANTSMANSHIP FOR NEW INVESTIGATORS

On Thursday, March 25, 2010 the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network sponsored a webinar titled “NIH Grantsmanship for New Investigators,” which featured Dr. Suresh Mohla, PhD, Associate Director, Division of Cancer Biology at National Cancer Institute.

The webinar was organized in response to feedback obtained during discussion groups and one-on-one-conversations with our grantees about their career development needs and the importance to their careers of receiving funding from the NIH. Given recent changes that the NIH has made in its peer review process, the topic of the webinar was especially timely and relevant. The webinar was offered to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network grantees as well as to researchers in the broader pancreatic cancer community.
