“I feel strongly that it's my mission to be an advocate, a voice, because so many pancreatic cancer patients don't get the opportunity to do so. So many wonderful people have come into my life, whom I never would have met otherwise. It fills my heart with joy when new volunteers say ‘I want to become part of this group, and make a difference, like you are!’ Our affiliate has made an impact building awareness, fund raising, and equally important, creating a real community for survivors, families and friends.”
Over 470 supporters came out dressed in purple to watch the Somerset Patriots take on the Camden Riversharks on July 17th! Not only did the Patriots win the game 9-1, but our PSA was played on the jumbotron and Representative Lance came out and spoke at the game in order to create awareness for pancreatic cancer and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. It was truly a great day for everyone who attended!

PurpleStride New Jersey 2013
PurpleStride New Jersey 2013 was an amazing success. More than 1,800 people gathered in Parsippany to make strides in the fight against pancreatic cancer. Together we raised more than $246,000, surpassing the event goal! Donations are still coming in and these funds will help to advance research, support patients, and create hope.
Photos from the event will be posted on purplestride.org when available.
Thank you to all of the wonderful participants, survivors and volunteers that made this event a powerful and inspiring day!
