“I feel strongly that it's my mission to be an advocate, a voice, because so many pancreatic cancer patients don't get the opportunity to do so. So many wonderful people have come into my life, whom I never would have met otherwise. It fills my heart with joy when new volunteers say ‘I want to become part of this group, and make a difference, like you are!’ Our affiliate has made an impact building awareness, fund raising, and equally important, creating a real community for survivors, families and friends.”
- Maija, sever-year survivor and volunteer

Local Highlights
PurpleLight Denver 2012
PurpleLight Denver took place on November 4, 2012 as part of the second annual National PurpleLight Vigil for Hope. This event happened in conjunction with over 50 additional PurpleLight Vigils across the country. It was a wonderful opportunity for family and friends of those touched by pancreatic cancer to come together to gain both comfort and encouragement. Photos will be available at www.purplelight.org.
PurpleStride Denver 2012 was a success!
Your time and efforts, volunteering, fundraising and raising awareness truly contributed to our mission to advance research, support patients and create hope for all those affected by pancreatic cancer. The event had over 1,100 participants and raised over $108,000 for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Thank you for all of your support!
