Charity by Design empowers non-profit organizations to reach their goals by sharing what we do best, the power of positive energy through innovative, creative design.
Recently recognized as Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2012 in the Consumer Products category of New England, Designer Carolyn Rafaelian creates eco-friendly products made entirely in America from recycled materials. In addition, Alex and Ani was ranked #246 on Inc. Magazine’s 2012 Top 500 list of fastest growing, private companies.
Synonymous with ‘Made in America’, Alex and Ani products are designed, manufactured and assembled from recycled materials in the Greater Providence, Rhode Island area. Carolyn believes that every individual has a positive message to share with the world and by incorporating powerful symbolism and design into each positive energy piece, Alex and Ani provides a vehicle for wearers to express their individuality.
Alex and Ani began its national support of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in October 2012 through the creation of its “Today is an Opportunity” bangle representing – Courage, Appreciation, and Influence – inspired by survivors of pancreatic cancer and our organization’s fiercely passionate constituents. This bangle is now available online at www.alexandani.com, in all Alex and Ani locations and at our retail partners.
“Opportunity is here; invite it in. In this moment you can choose to take action and contribute your gifts of courage, kindness, and love. You have the ability to allow your light to shine and illuminate another. Today is an opportunity to lead, to inspire, to volunteer, to make a difference.” – Alex and Ani | Charity By Design
20% of all Alex and Ani sales of the Today is an Opportunity Charm, with a minimum donation of $10,000, will go directly to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network to advance research, support patients, and create hope for anyone affected by pancreatic cancer. The charm retails for $28.
