Public Relations Manager, Program Support
This position supports the Public Relations efforts to promote the programs and services of the organization. The PR Manager will be responsible for media outreach to increase the visibility of the organization, pancreatic cancer research, clinical trials, advocacy issues and ongoing initiatives for each of the programs. Duties include working with the organization’s program teams to develop media-worthy story ideas about the organization to support their strategic communication priorities, increasing media coverage for the organization’s Research Grants Program, partnering with media teams at institutions where we fund research to increase the visibility of the research being funded by the organization and its potential impact on the pancreatic cancer community and increasing the visibility of grantees involvement with our organization..
Bachelors Degree in business, marketing, communications, journalism or related field or equivalent experience, plus 5 years Public Relations experience required. Key requirements for this position excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize workload and demonstrated ability to execute multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. Health and science background preferred, cancer specific a plus.
