Pancreatic Cancer, know it, fight it, end it

Learn about PurpleRide
PurpleRide events provide an opportunity for participants to join the fight against pancreatic cancer while enjoying a day of bike riding, entertainment, food and inspiration.

PurpleRide participants raise money to support the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network’s mission to
  • Advance research
  • Support patients
  • Create hope for the pancreatic cancer community
For participants, it is a journey toward hope that is filled with inspiration. It is a time to honor loved ones fighting pancreatic cancer. It is a day when all of the family and friends of pancreatic cancer patients can come together in solidarity and gain both comfort and encouragement.

Event Inspiration
In 2005, Dave and Dan Breitenbucher rode their bikes across the country to raise money for the fight against pancreatic cancer, in honor of their mother who passed away from the disease. Over $20,000 was donated to the local chapter of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. (Learn more about Dan and Dave’s ride.) The first PurpleRide Twin Cities was held the following year attracting over 250 riders and raising over $90,000. Since then, the event has continued to grow, attracting over 2,000 riders in 2009, and inspiring other communities across the country to organize their own PurpleRide events.

PurpleRide Twin Cities takes place September 15, 2012.
Purple Ride Spoke d’Alene takes place Saturday, September 10, 2011.
