Pancreatic Cancer Action Network – A Brand New Look

Most organizations come to a point in their growth cycle when it’s time to reevaluate their messaging and branding to make sure it still reflects its core values. Due to our enormous growth and expansion over the last eight years, we felt it was important to appraise our situation and determine whether the current messaging and branding truly represent the comprehensive organization that we are today.

After a rigorous evaluation with a cross section our constituencies, we discovered that our audience is very diverse, and tends to view the organization very differently. For example, those who interact frequently with our Patient and Liaison Services (PALS) see great value in the hope and sense of community this service provides, but many did not recognize or know of our research funding, community outreach or advocacy work. Therefore, our mandate was to develop a new messaging platform and branding strategy that would accurately capture our comprehensiveness and passionate nature, while at the same time illuminate the organization’s significant influence as a leader and dynamic force in the pancreatic cancer community.

Therefore, we are happy to report that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network has officially restated its mission statement (see below) to reflect the comprehensive approach we take to defeat pancreatic cancer. This mission statement addresses all of our endeavors, which include funding research, providing patient support, generating community awareness and advocating for a cure. At the same time we have created a new logo and an identity for each aspect of our organization, yet maintaining one universal look and feel that shows us as one strong and comprehensive organization that supports all of our constituencies:

We will slowly be rolling out our new messaging and branding over the coming year through our many publications and website. We ask for your patience during the transition period.

Our Mission
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is a nationwide network of people dedicated to working together to advance research, support patients and create hope for those affected by pancreatic cancer.

How We Accomplish Our Mission
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is the national leader in the fight to defeat pancreatic cancer. We are the only national organization creating hope in a comprehensive way. We accomplish our mission by directly funding research, and demanding that the federal government increase research dollars for pancreatic cancer; by providing patients and caregivers with reliable information to make informed decisions with their healthcare teams; and by helping individuals and communities work together to raise awareness and funds to find a cure for pancreatic cancer.
