Who WAS Bill Dionne? Bill Dionne was a member of the Rally Point Tennis Club for over 25 years. His family asks his friends and teammates to support this important cause to benefit Pancreatic Cancer Research. Bill was a champion athlete beginning at LaSalle Academy as All State long distance runner and moving through his lifetime to skilled hockey player and ice skater, to Master Runner in Rhode Island, to Narragansett Bay Sailing Champion, to Rhode Island Cross Country Ski Champion, to expert downhill skier, to avid windsurfer, but throughout these sports endeavors, his passion was his love for tennis. The only competition Bill Dionne did not succeed in conquering was his 23 week battle with pancreatic cancer. The odds were too high. 99% of pancreatic cancer victims die within three to six months after diagnosis. Bill was in that 99%..
