Z Gallerie and Pancreatic Cancer Action Network Team Up to Raise Awareness and Research Dollars for Pancreatic Cancer

EL SEGUNDO and Los Angeles, Calif. (Sept. 15, 2004) - Getting your home ready for the holidays? Mark Thursday, Nov. 18 on your calendar. That’s when Z Gallerie, America ’s premiere lifestyle home furnishing and accessory retailer, will donate a portion of its sales at all stores to pancreatic cancer research. After the success of last year’s event, the Los Angeles, Calif.-based retailer is partnering with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) once again to raise awareness about the devastating disease and contribute money for much-needed research.

Shoppers at the more than 55 Z Gallerie locations nationwide will receive a 15 percent discount off all purchases (excluding furniture) from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Shoppers at each location will also be eligible to enter and win a special "Shirley Key" shopping spree. Shirley Zeiden, mother of the Z Gallerie founders, passed away as a result of pancreatic cancer in 2002.

With its wide selection of furniture, artwork, lighting, tabletop, textiles and decorative accessories,

Z Gallerie offers everything today’s home enthusiast needs to welcome family and friends during the busy holiday entertaining season.

Volunteers from PanCAN, the first national public-benefit advocacy organization for the pancreatic cancer community, will provide information about pancreatic cancer, the fourth leading cause of cancer death in the U.S. among men and women.

About Z Gallerie
Founded by Joe Zeiden, Carole Malfatti and Mike Zeiden in 1979, Z Gallerie began as a small poster shop in Sherman Oaks, Calif. The siblings operated the store by day and framed posters by night in the garage of their parents’ home in Van Nuys , Calif. Much has changed since 1979, however; the siblings, with the help and dedication of over 1,000 employees, retain a family culture and remain a privately owned company. Z Gallerie currently has 55 retail locations in 15 states and is headquartered in the Los Angeles area. Additional buying offices are located in Berkeley , Calif .
