Diet & Nutrition

In an effort to address many of the diet and nutrition concerns and questions typically asked by patients and families dealing with pancreatic cancer, this information is designed to serve as a reference guide. This information should not be used as a sole resource for dietary and nutritional concerns. Before making any changes in the patient’s diet, please discuss them with a doctor and/or a Registered Dietitian.

If the patient is not seeing a Registered Dietitian at this time, ask the patient’s doctor to refer one or contact PanCAN’s Patient and Liaison Services (PALS) program to assist in finding a dietitian in their area. The PALS program can be reached toll free at 877-272-6226 or by email at medinfo@pancan.org. The PALS staff is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm PST to provide further information on any of the topics found in this site.
