In an effort
to address many of the diet and nutrition concerns and questions
typically asked by patients and families dealing with pancreatic
cancer, this information is designed to serve as a reference
guide. This information should not be used as a sole resource for
dietary
and nutritional concerns. Before making any changes in the patient’s
diet, please discuss them with a doctor and/or a Registered Dietitian.
If the patient is not seeing a Registered Dietitian at this time,
ask the patient’s doctor to refer one or contact PanCAN’s
Patient and Liaison Services (PALS) program to assist in finding
a dietitian in their area. The PALS program can be reached toll
free at 877-272-6226 or by email at medinfo@pancan.org. The PALS
staff is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
PST to provide further information on any of the topics found in
this site.
