Deadline for 2007 grants has passed.
Please check back later for new grants.
The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) are offering Career Development Awards for early-career scientists engaged in pancreatic cancer research.
Candidates must be, by the start of the grant term (July 2007), in the first, second, or third year of a full-time faculty appointment at the level of Instructor, Acting Assistant Professor, or an equivalent full-time faculty appointment at an academic or medical institution within the United States.
Research proposals are restricted to those basic, translational, or clinical research proposals with 100% applicability to pancreatic cancer. One grant, the Seena Magowitz Career Development Award, will specifically focus on translational research.
The two-year grant provides $50,000 per year for direct research expenses. To facilitate the recipient’s attendance at the 2007 and 2008 AACR Annual Meetings financial support for travel and a waiver of registration fees will also be provided.
